Caracticus escaped and fleed north to the Brigantes tribe.  He tried to recruit them to oppose the Romans but the Tribal Queen handed him over to the Romans. he was taken with his family to Rome where the Emperor Claudius I paraded Caracticus and his family through he streets of Rome.  After  this spectacle Claudius amazingly freed Caracticus and his family.
